I really can't believe I'm gonna be sec4 next year, it's like so friggin fast, soon i will be joined by the fairer sex at rj, haha but i really dunno how come so fast, it's like i still feel like i've just graduated from pri sch leh. Hai dunno la, just have to make the most out of what's left, go rj must mug for alevels liao, even more sianzzzzzzzzzz

i just came back from malaysia and it was damn fun!! so now i shall blog about the whole trip from start to finish:

DAY 1

That morning i had joga3 so i went to school in the morning since i already signed up with marvin and jonlim. Nike set up playing areas on the astroturf it was quite cool. The rules are just the first team to score a goal within 3 minutes wins if nobody score then draw lor. Lol we got owned in every game and only managed to win once, it was a tyco goal somemore, rebounded off some unknown guy's legs. Never mind la at least got free wristband, look quite stylo milo somemore, but gareth really damn pro he scored all the goals lor all damn nice goals somemore, no wonder his team won la.

Then after joga i went home to bathe and finish up my packing and took an hour nap before taking bus to school. We were supposed to meet at 1600 at jb atrium(junior block not johor bahru), when i reach already quite alot of people there so i joined my class before they sorted us into our buses, i was in mdmbek and lbh's bus. Somemore i leader leh, quite shocked i was selected as leader at first but since i was picked might as well do a good job right. Then we boarded the bus and soon arrived at the train station, was looking forward to the train ride because it sounds quite fun instead of taking bus all the time, we were quite early so we had a short break before we board the bus. So i took my happyfamilyoldmaidsnapdonkey cards and started playing with dames and yewzee and shiggy lol it was damn funny esp. when you play happyfamily in chinese and donkey also laughing at the guy who picks your donkey. Then me stan and hanny(they leader also) distributed the packed dinners to the group. After that we crossed customs and boarded the train, i thought it was like the hogwarts express at first like got compartments one but i guess ekspres timuran was different. Board train liao i did my first of many headcounts in the trip, then everybody started crapping and moving around then the train started to pass through bukit timah so i thought maybe can pass by our house cos tenmile there got traintrack wad so i got quite excited and prepared to call home when the train passed home. After it passed gabytong's house it went railmail there and down the road to assumption there, mdmbek also told me it was gonna pass by bp so when it reached i time zun2zun4 my phone call and asked mummy to go window and check, wa seh really got leh so cool. After that we crossed another customs i think is singapore one and was headed for Jerantut. The remaining of the train ride also very fun we went to eat our packed dinner at the on board restuarant placey and i saw a transvestite wa very scary she fatfat one then bu4nan2bu4nu3 got adam apple then wear girl clothing, scary sia. After that we went back and played happy family with sm and chee and dames in chinese lol we played for damn long la all the while speaking chinese and i kept winning cos everyone take my card then i no more so i win lor lol. After playing everyone disperse around so i go back and listen to my music for a while then walk around talk to people until about 10 plus when everyone started to kun3. So i also kun3 lor woke up at 2 something then stone for one hour cos cannot sleep then after that dunno why can sleep again until the train reach liao and had to be woken up. After we alighted it was pitch dark then we waited for our bus to send us to the tekam plantation resort, wa our bus quite laopok super noisy so cannot sleep but nvm la journey quite short only. After we arrived we got our keys and listen to a briefing about tomorrow then go sleep liao. My roommates were ding and brian the room not bad la quite big got 2 beds so i sleep on the tilam. But the toilets got one huge lizard and we were trying to wash it up and out the window with the bathing nozzle thingy then it kept slipping so we gave up in the end and went to sleep. We woke up the next morning at around 0630 and i bathed then went to eat breakfast at a poolside shelter thingy with seats and tables set up like a restaurant, must walk quite long still must climb some stairs then go down some stairs then can reach. The breakfast was alright la dun expect too much they not 5-star hotel then after eating me and brian had to rush back to take our gloves for caving later cos we forget and when we got back everyone was assembled liao. Got a small scolding by lbh then went to listen to a talk about oil palm and its predators. I can still remember seh the main predator is the rat so they make some poison which activates after the rat drinks water and kills it after a few days, cos the rats very smart one won't so easy tio3pian3 so must fake here fake there abit. Then also got the beetle thingy so they built like a trap thing with nice smell so they fly in and the surface too slippery so they fall into the bottle below, then also got one small hole below in case it rains. Then they show us one beetle then it flew around the room and mdmbek was hiding saying she scared of flying thing haha lucky snails dun eat oil palm. After that we went to some minimart place got the 3ringitt adidas shoes and bought some stuff, i bought ribena that almost got sponsored but nvm. Then we went to see them tap rubber and chop down the oil fruits lol some people volunteered to cut them down lol mrteo calculate the angle also cannot cut down. Then after that we went to have lunch at the entrance to the caving place then i borrowed headlight from ahgong and we went in, lol before we even go inside the cave the headlight spoil liao sorry ahgong but the caving adventure was seriously damn fun, the view we saw was really breathtaking man the cave inside got one big hole then got some trees there and the sunlight shining in.... super duper nice man..... then can spot some animals in the cave formations also, got lion and a husband and wife and eagle and a few elephants. Then we went back and got some tight holes must squeeze through especially the last one then marvin stand there and help everybody. After that my gloves and shirt all damn dirty and we rested in the same place we had lunch then lol damn funny people started to play monkey and then pepsi cola and we were all sitting there watching, then benlee brian and leroy started doing breakdance moves and we were enjoying the freeshow lol they damn pro. When our bus finally arrived and we reached the resort again i thought can play soccer but when i went there they come back liao so sad :( So i went to bathe and we had dinner at the same place, then we got a nightwalk where we walk walk to deep inside the jungle and they take all our lights and we have to go back with just candles, actually it was quite easy with ding and jit leading even though lbh the ribenbing lookalike came and took our candle in front. Then ding damn funny say he want to tackle him and get it back if he does it again lol. Then when we went back benlee got bitten by a snake and we found out brian was not there after doind headcount and always 33 people, then somemore reuben lost his phone so many thing happen. But in the end everything turned out ok so no worries. Then we had a mini debrief before going to sleep again. But while ding and brian went to the room and slept, i had to do cip with the rest of the cip people and we rehearsed the madagascar dance we did at gep camp and selected the songs to be sung, mstang was also there to be the judge, lol got no space to dance so i had to go inside the toilet for one part and ahgong keep doing wrongly one part so we had to keep correcting him. In the end when everyone left i ended up sleeping with chee cos i dun want to go back so far hor.

DAY 2

Wa day 1 already so long day 2 should be even longer leh, my finger starting to get tired liao but nvm i shall persevere!
We woke up again and bathed before going to eat breakfast again lol got one moth outside our door and i thought it was a leaf at first until it moved lol lucky i nv step on it. Then we took a damn long bus ride to Kuantan then on board quite sian only my pikin pei2 wo3. Pikin really damn addictive lor eat eat eat cannot stop one i hereby proclaim pikin as the world's addictivest sweet. When we reach the batik factory place we went to see them show us how to make batik but so many people crowd so cannot see lucky i stayed back and see second round lol really zhuan4 dao4 man the lady explain everything in detail and even showed us live dyeing(not dying). After that we went to check in at our hotel grand continental lol look like some kueh yellow at the bottom brown at the top forget what name liao. Then we went to makan at the swan restaurant at the hotel was damn nice the food there got fish chicken everything also got. Then we went to check in and had to take all the money we raised and go the supermarket there to buy stuff for the orphanages and homes, lol damn funny like those kind of shopping competition they used to show on tv. We bought lots of stuff cos we got 2000 ringitt lol so much. Then we push the trolleys all the way back again to the hotel and rushed off on the bus to the turtle sanctuary. We had a small powerpoint presentation by the guy there and then went to clean up the beach, lol at first like got no rubbish like that but then mdmbek ask us to move up the shore and we found loads of rubbish there, got kfc and sweet wrappers and newspaper, even got someone's soiled diapers! with bread inside somemore, you tell me who the hell can shit bread?!? Then we went to makan and got another scolding by lbh before we went to release the turtles. Wa damn cool man the turtles are like so eager to crawl to the sea and swim, like so eager to take on life's challenges, really very touching man, so small thing can be so brave. That's why turtle is my favourite animal. After that we went back to the hotel and watch abit of american idol and sportcenter before we went to the ballroom and pack all our cip stuff and rehearse one last time for tomorrow's performance. We pack very fast like calling for auction liddat, "3 milo!" then have to check with the 3 other tables lol so fun. Then we watched peng and mikey sing pokemon and slau sing you raise me up wa he damn pro man like pro liddat. Then we rehearsed peng you and lang hua yi duo duo before we did the dance again and went for supper at the restaurant beside the hotel. Wa mstang so nice treat us all the food and i found something amazing: Pepsi Tarik! lol so incredible pepsi with coffee even mrteo want to try somemore he say quite nice, actually not bad la but a bit weird only. The roti prata there also very nice but quite oily. Then we went back and played cards for a while in jerome's room before i taboleh tahan(malay seh) and went to sleep, reuben was already sleeping when i went back.

DAY 3

We woke up and went to eat breakfast at the same place where we packed, the food quite nice also i made my own kiam3 beh2 with salted eggs and hotdog, then mstang briefed also abit and we set off for the homes. Our home was supposed to be like minds liddat for the people with down syndrome, at first i went to garden the place cos got experience from interact club but so many people so me hanny chee and stan took up a tougher mission, to clean the attic. I tell you it was the dirtiest place i have ever seen ok, all the chairs were all over and there were cobwebs everywhere, what we did was quite incredible man we arranged all the chairs and cupboards nicely and wiped the floor, we should have taken a before and after photo man. But i was really quite proud of what we did but too bad all the extra stuff was dumped in th other attic, guess we have to let the next group of people to clean that up :p After that we took the bus to the beach and we went to buy the presents for the teachers, we got a decoration thingy for both and a hat for lbh and a tigger dunnoputwhat thingy for mdmbek to put in staff room. We then played with our guests on the beach and then we served the macs food to them and began the performance, everything went smoothly except got some technical problems but nvm la hor, though some of them did not seem to be interested. Then we took a group photo at the beach and headed for home, 7 hour bus ride man, can die. Spent most of it sleeping until the last part where austin played some jap game with mdmbek and i watched with my sec1 level jap, lol eventually we were playing in chinese so much easier. Then we had a stop at yongpeng where i ate some fishball noodles and bought behtehsoh as usual and reboarded the bus. About 2 hours later we were back in ri, at first i thought must take 156 damn sian one, but then mdmbek so nice let me take taxi with her so reached home very quickly. The taxi door also very funny can automatically open one. Wa finally finish the whole trip, every activity not very detailed some more, aiya next time then add on la i damn tired now finger going to burst liao.

wa 2 posts in 1 hour i break world record liao, i must blog about the fa cup final yesterday, wa it was really a CLASSIC match.

I didn't really watch the whole thing cos i was playing com but i watched most of it. Carragher scored an own goal, lol he freestyled it in he can go joga bonito liao. I thought he was gonna own goal another one like that match against man utd so many years ago i remember i was playing play-doh while watching. Then after that reina fumbled the ball and ashton scored very sloppily. Then I thought liverpool no hope liao 2-0 down in first half, then cisse scored a magnificent goal, he scissor-kicked volleyed the ball from gerrard and so it was 2-1. Then gerrard scored a damn powerful goal in the penalty box which i didn't see live but i saw it just now at football extra. Then konchesky scored a super super super tyco goal he crossed in then the ball curled over reina into the far corner, damn tyco, like a lee hendrie goal i saw many many years ago when he was still pro. Then until stoppage time there were no goals but you could sense that liverpool was gonna score and who else but gerrard stepped up to the mark, by blasting a shot from 30 yards out into the bottom left corner, SWEET.

So it went to extra time but you sort of knew that liverpool were gonna win, everyone was like damn tired and slacking during extra time, sitting down when they did not have the ball, especially cisse, they were like waiting for the penalty shootout lor. Then there was a freekick from yossi benaYOUN that bobbled some heads and reina tipped it agianst the post and an injured harewood couldn't finish. So it went to penalties. Reina saved 3 and liverpool won having only Hyypia who missed and only Sheringham scoring for West Ham. Quite sad for Konchesky though, heard that he was a West Ham supporter since young and what better then to score the winning goal for your fav club in the FA Cup final, he must have been damn happy when he scored lor.... But then 30 minutes later he missed a penalty, i guess the pressure was too much for him man.


Guess that's how football is man, only the winners are remembered.

Walao but i think im gonna do damn badly for some subjects, damn scared to get back report book... Aiya anyhow la now is the time to play dun think about marks first, tomorrow then see...

On Thursday something incredibile happened, i shall recount what happened...

I was in the dining hall when i saw the 3M people selling icecream so i go see see lor, then i ended up helping them cos they like quite few people very pathetic(not like 3L so pro), we sold quite a few icepops(not really very creamy) before the whole dining hall was empty, so we decided to move the icebox thingy to the swimming pool there cos got swim carnival, so we move move move, and then mrteo went to makan lunch while we continued selling. Not bad me and wang sold quite a lot of icepops to students supporting and teachers alike, our biggest customer was mryuen who bought 25 for his class like he did for us last year. Then our icebox kaput on us, try all the other sockets also cannot, so burst lor, have to sell all quick before they melt. So me kerubin kerubin goh san and benhong sell sell sell until it started to rain and we were trapped at the opposite stand so we bo bian have to sell there then afterwards they announced that swim carnival finish so everyone zao liao i went to carry the big metal cover which was damn heavy on my head while looking for them then ended up walking one big round, after put down like got concussion liddat. So back at the dining hall we were keeping and tell mrteo that the icebox thing kaput, so we tried it out at a socket next to the fan nearest to the stage.

Wa now is the climax of the story listen carefully.... ok cannot listen read carefully......

We plugged the plug in and turned on the switch, wa good got power.... then suddenly no power. So i shake shake shake the wire then the power light flickered for a while and then.............................................................................................

About a few centimetres away from where i was holding the wire, sparks flew out and i thought wa so nice like fireworks until everyone saw and ask me to throw down, so i quickly throw down lor. Then mrteo stepped on it like trying to put out fire liddat, wa it was an experience of a lifetime man, i could have burnt my hand or worse, kenna electrocuted and whole face turn black.

i got a guitar for my birthday present and i have been practising ever since, maybe one day can become professional then can play in some cool band but then again, also can become guitar salesman, not bad. wa this week got alot of homwwork really taboleh tahan, still got chinese project and ss project left, hope can finish in time. today i was late for school again so i got 2 more times this term before dentition detention, damn scared leh always wake up late then miss 156 one lor, i hope ri move downstairs then can wake up at 7, wahahaha.

a few more weeks before common test then after that got malaysia trip, quite looking forward to it cos we're taking train and trains are fun. our class want to sell bubble tea to raise funds for the children next week, so can you please go support arigato. i know few people read my blog but who cares i dun update much anyways just remember to go buy paopaocha can liao okokokok?

today for philo we watch a freaky french show where this girl is crazy over this doctor who don't even know her, then he and his wife break up then reconcile, and then he beat up some patient he thought was the girl then the patient died afterwards. wa really quite freaky man then halfway through the show they rewind baack to the start and replay it in another perspective. i think its a good movie, but v for vendetta better. haha botak.

just now watch abit smackdown! then got the big indian guy from the longest yard(the one who play pingpong with adam sandler) who calls himself the great khali, wa siao he damn big size and tall, 7 foot plus and 420 pounds, real scary man.

Wa finally got post after my autobiography.

Sian diao today lessons quite boring, first got pe where i took my napfa test. Not bad seh, standing broad jump i miraculously got 216 which means i just nice can get b, the rest also quite good, sit-up 48 i think, inclined 29 then shuttle run 9.8 not bad i broke 10 second barrier but too bad that one people is run 100metres. Then during sit and reach i did my patented trick i use every year again and i got 61 i think lol so easy. So that gives me 4 As and 1 B only left 2.4 hope i can get A also. Then i will get the collar pin with 3 gold stripes!

After that got maths test aiya i understand liao but always during the test mental block one dunno why. Hai, hope i can pass. Then got chinese which i find is getting more boring every week although i chinese rep, dunno la.

Last period we were supposed to have party and eat pizza butso sad teachers not free to buy or something i forgot the reason so we continued watching K-19 again. Wa damn sian some more our speakers got some problem so no sound. I ended up reading the prince of tennis manga borrowed from shiyang, though i see the anime before but read manga can improve chinese also so why not anyway the movie also so sian. Kaidoh damn cool lor with his snakes and boomerang snakes he's my second fav character behind Kikumaru. Nyaaa.

After that played soccer as usual cos today friday, wa sian lor i think i never improve at all lor always dribble into people and losing the ball. Anyway now i got new soccer idol, he is juan roman riquelme from villareal wa i tell you he's damn pro should watch out for him in world cup man.

Then got training not bad la only scrimmage fun and i got this cool wound i got when i fell trying to save the ball. It's bright red in colour not bad quite sexy.

Wednesday was my birthday, not bad la every year the same but at least this year got treated to lunch. Many people wished me happy birthday also so i very happy.

Oh ya and our class won classroom deco(not barcelona one) as expected with our grafitti walls and our cool tofu car mascot and of course my duster-car. But a little disappointing cos only $20 book voucher but at least it was a class effort so doesn't matter.

Tomorrow got interact club i'm looking forward to it, cos we are doing gardening, sounds quite fun since i've been interested in gardening since young and now i get a landscapist(cool right) to teach us how to garden not bad seh. Only bad thing about gardens is that got a lot of snails yuck.

Wa buay pai quite long post next time got time then post again.

Four days after April Fools’ Day in 1991, a baby was born at National University Hospital in Singapore. That baby was me. Fourteen years later, I am still alive and kicking.

My name is Tan Kee Yao, and I live in a five-room flat in Bukit Panjang with my mother, sister and brother. My father has been working overseas in Shanghai for the last 5 years, and he only returns twice a year. I look forward to those times tremendously because for the brief period that he is in Singapore, our family would go out often and catch up with one another over a good dinner. But we still maintain contact with him through the telephone daily. I love my family, and I feel very blessed to have such a good and complete family. Though sometimes there would be quarrels flying across the table, I know deep down that what they do is all for my own good.

I have been going to school as long as I can remember. I went to kindergarten at Seventh Day Adventist Kindergarten, though the memories of those times appear a little vague to me now, I can still remember some specific incidents. Like the occasional potluck parties, P.E lessons where we ran around aimlessly at the playground, computer lessons where I used to enjoy the most, and the end-of-year concert we had to put up where I applied makeup for the first time in my life. During those times there really was no pressure whatsoever, we were literally playing games everyday and even the lessons were fun. Maybe is because our minds were not as developed then and cannot see the “bad” side of life, life to us then was just play, play, and more play. Not knowing that we are in fact learning more about this world every single day. Primary school days were equally enjoyable, though there was homework added to school life, it was still manageable. I transferred to Bukit Panjang Primary from Jurong Primary when I was in primary three as I had just moved house. I was reluctant to leave, but I had no choice. However, I enjoyed my time there even more, staying back after school to play ball, the many friendships I built, and of course the usual boy-girl relationships that spiced up primary school life. Those were the days. But when I was met with geniuses all over the land in Raffles Institution after my PSLE exams, there was a drastic change. Homework started to pile up, lessons were far more complex, CCA activities were more rigorous, and of course one teacher did not teach all subjects anymore. But one has to adapt to what life throws at him, and I did. After secondary one, I had adjusted to secondary school life and made many new friends. Friendship to me is the most important ship in the world, life is all about communication, how can people live without interaction with other people? Sometimes I really wonder how loners manage to live their lives. Although my “friendship” has already steadied its course, my studies are not doing very well. I managed to scrape past some subjects last year, and now in my third year, the pressure is constantly mounting. I guess I have to work doubly hard.

Enough of the academic nonsense, life to me now is all about another thing, soccer. I have been watching and playing soccer since the age of five. My first and only teacher was my brother. He taught me the basics and played with me in my living room using a makeshift ball made up of newspaper and tape. After a few years of intense training, I moved on to the challenge of playing with the kids at the void deck downstairs. That was the place I honed my skills, playing with kids twice my age, and twice my size. But unfortunately, I could not stay there long and had to move to a bigger club, or rather a bigger house, after one year. Then I stopped playing soccer for almost two years, until I was primary six when I rediscovered my love for the game. Ever since I came to RI, I have been actively involved in soccer during recesses and lunches, the total number of times I have played on the astroturf and field is countless. And the proudest achievement I have ever achieved in soccer is the interclass title we won in secondary one. Though we were claimed to have been lucky to win the title, we still won as a class and that deserves some credit. Besides playing soccer, I am also an avid fan of Chelsea Football Club, though recently many people have started supporting them because of the array of stars bought with oil tycoon Roman Abramovich’s millions, I started supporting them nine years ago because of the plain reason that their jersey has a nice shade of blue. I have been following them ever since and my favourite player currently is midfield maestro Frank Lampard. With good skills and good looks, and an eye for the goal, he has become my idol for the past few years and I try to emulate him on the pitch.

The future to me is still unclear, I do not really have a true career I wish to pursue. The most I can do now is study hard and hope something comes across my path that leads me somewhere. I am looking forward to life after my four years in RI at Raffles Junior College and be reunited with the fairer sex. Of course not forgetting the A Levels’ that are just around the corner. Hopefully, I can make lots of money and find a good partner and just enjoy what is left of my beautiful life.
